Gayle Lea Wingert, 75,, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved her dearly.

Born in 1936, Gayle began a life that would touch many along the way.

Gayle Wingert, 75, died Thursday, June 21, 2012 at the Select Specialty Hospital, Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Monday, June 25, 2012 at the Heritage Funeral Home, Sioux Falls with burial in Wellington Cemetery, rural Humboldt. Visitation with family present will be from 5-7:00pm Sunday at the funeral home. Gayle Lea Deurloo was born on November 24, 1936 at Sioux Falls, SD to Peter and Fern (Lamm) Deurloo. She grew up in Sioux Falls where she graduated from Washington High School in 1955. On August 17, 1963 she was united in marriage to Gerald Wingert at Humboldt, SD. They lived in Sioux Falls where she enjoyed camping, playing on her computer, and her latest four legged friend, Toby. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Gerald; 3 children, Cindy Wingert, Sioux Falls, Doug Wingert, Sioux Falls, and Elizabeth (Nathan) Hopf, Lennox; and 6 grandchildren, Stephanie, Dustin, Jordan, Jayden, Troy, and Tyler. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Jeff.
