Edward "Eddie" "Bud" Engelkes, 85 of Sioux Falls died Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Sanford Rock Rapids Medical Center in Rock Rapids, Iowa. Memorial services will be 7:00pm Friday, April 21, 2017 at Heritage Funeral Home, 57th and Minnesota Avenue, Sioux Falls with visitation from 5-7pm with family present. Arrangements by Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home, Parker. Edward Evert Engelkes was born on August 13, 1931 at Freeman, SD to Evert an Violet (Anderson) Engelkes. He grew up in the Parker, SD area. On June 26, 1965 he was united in marriage to Carol Schulte at Parker. To this union 4 children where born, Harm, Karen, Robert "Bob", and Daniel. They moved to Sioux Falls where he was employed at Billion Motors for 30 years until his retirement. In 1991 he married Dorothy Leahy at Sioux Falls, she died in 2011. For the past 5 years he has been a resident of the Lyon Manor in Rock Rapids, Iowa. He enjoyed ballroom dancing, demolition derby's, and customizing his cars to his personality. Grateful for having shared his life are his 4 children, Harm, Karen, Robert "bob", and Daniel and wife Tamera, all of Sioux Falls; 3 step children, Mark Bultena, Rhonda Eitreim, and Carla Bultena; 7 grandchildren, Cody, Emily, Maia, Dylan, Dustin, Chasidy, and Jordan; 3 step grandchildren, Christopher, Kayla, and Melody; 3 great grandchildren, Olivia, Robert, and Kadan; and 4 step great grandchildren.
