The family of Ken Hay, 83, announces his passing, and invites all who knew him to remember him here.

These pages are a small offering toward a much larger life.

Born in 1941, Ken began a life that would touch many along the way.

Ken held deeply to the Methodist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.

Ken stood in service when he was needed; that, too, is a kind of legacy.

Ken graduated from Huron High School, and in 1961, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. On December 15, 1963, Ken married Faye Weber at Trinity Lutheran Church in Yale, SD. After being honorably discharged in 1965, Ken and Faye moved back to Huron, and then in 1968, they moved to Sterling, Illinois where Ken began his career as a flooring installer which lasted over 50 years. The organization has grown to include more than 18,000 installers. Ken was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Parker. Ken enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, and attending his grandchildren's activities, cheering them on from the top row of the bleachers. He was an avid sports fan and cherished his years coaching baseball. He loved to be outside working in the yard and doing projects in his garage. In 2021, Ken and Faye moved to Sioux Falls.
