Wayne Noess, 59,, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved him dearly.

Wayne Noess, 59 of Marion died suddenly Thursday, April 13, 2017 at home from an apparent heart attack. Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Bethesda Church, rural Marion. Visitation with family present will be from 5-7pm Monday evening at the church with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm. Wayne Allen Noess was born on May 12, 1957 at Spokane, Washington to Merle and Florence (Meyers) Noess. He moved with his family as a child to Ellendale, ND where he attended school until his sophomore year. The family moved to Java, SD where he graduated from Java High School in 1975. He was married to Cindy Greiner and later on to Sallyann Meidinger, to these unions are three sons, Derek, Heath, and Josh. Over the years he worked various jobs, including the pizza business and in 1985 he moved to the Sioux Falls area and then later on to Marion. On October 6, 2001 he was united in marriage to Deb Ensz at Marion, SD. He was employed with Hutchinson Technology for 17 years until the plant closed in 2009. He was involved with his wife operating Deb's Amoco, the Broadway Inn, and operated the Bear Country Storage and Treasures on Broadway. He was an EMT and was a member of the Marion Ambulance for many years. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Deb; his mother Florence (Lawrence) Barton, Aberdeen, SD; 4 children, Derek Noess, Marion, Heath (fiancé' Destinee) Noess, Sioux Falls, Josh (Jessie) Meidinger, Sioux Falls, and Tanya (Bill) Erickson, Sioux Falls; 3 grandchildren, Trey, Braylin, and Ariah; 2 brothers, Merlen (Carolyn) Noess, Sac City, Iowa, and Leslie (Bobbi) Noess, Java, SD; and his in-laws, Lester and Loretta Ensz, Marion. He was preceded in death by his father. In lieu of flowers memorials maybe made to the charity of the donors choice.
