Morris L. Bemelman, 94 died Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Tieszen Memorial Home in Marion. Graveside services will be at 10:00am Thursday, September 18, 2025 at the Rosehill Cemetery in Parker with military honors. Arrangements by Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home. Morris Lee Bemelman was born on March 11, 1931 near Parker, SD to Harry and Mary (Kinder) Bemelman. He grew up on the farm and attended country school through 8th grade. During the Korean War he served in the US Army from 1952-1955, having been stationed in Korea. After his discharge from the service he moved back home and farmed his entire life. He was also an avid trapper. Grateful for having shared his life are nieces and nephews, Coleman Bemelman, Tracy Cartwright, Patricia Thompson and Getawn "CJ" Jacobs; and great nieces and nephews, Johnny Bemelman, Melinda Bemelman, Brandy Perez, Rachel Harbuck, Ashley Stewart, Margie Thompson, and Katarina Beaudion. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother James "Jim" and a sister Marvel.
