Debra Jean Wentzel, 68 died on Friday, July 1, 2022 at her home under hospice care. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements by Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home. Debra Jean Cross was born on June 5, 1954 at Pittsburgh, PA to William and Dorothy (Mock) Cross. On November 29, 1975 she was united in marriage to Duane Wentzel at Houston, Texas. They lived in Houston before moving to Oregon where they lived for 27 years. She was employed as a payroll specialist with Paychex for 25 years until her retirement. In 2014 they moved to South Dakota. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband Duane; 2 children, Jeff (Lacey) Wentzel of Tekoa, WA and Melissa (Mike) Randby, Parker, SD; 4 grandchildren, Krystie Reynolds, Marion, SD and Kaleah, Ryland, and Brantley Wentzel, all of Tekoa, WA; 2 great grandchildren, Freya and Flix Reynolds of Marion, SD; and a brother Gary Cross, Odessa, Texas.
