What follows is written with love, by those who knew him best.
Brandon entered this world in 1982, in Pine Ridge SD to Casey and Julie Walton — the start of a journey that would span 41 years.
Brandon touched many in a short time — that, too, is a kind of fullness.
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our father Brandon Scott Walton. Brandon passed away at the age of 41 on November 29, 2023 in Loomis, SD of natural causes. Funeral services will be at 10:30am Monday, December 4, 2023 at the Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home in Parker, SD. Visitation will be from 5-7pm Sunday evening at the funeral home with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm. Memorials maybe directed to the Walton Children Education Fund for his children's continued education. Brandon was born on September 26, 1982 in Pine Ridge SD to Casey and Julie Walton. Brandon was the middle child as he has 2 older sisters Andrea and Amy and 2 younger sister Casey Lynn and Carmen. Brandon attended Gordon Public school in Gordon Nebraska where he later married Kayla Musfelt and to this union they were blessed with 8 children, Davon, Jesse, Shaylyn, MaKenna, Ashlynn, Tayanna, Bryleah, and Kyndall . In 2011 Brandon moved his family to Parker, SD. Brandon worked many jobs and always was busy working on something in the garage or having a cold beer. Brandon enjoyed working on cars, woodworking, camping, racing and most of all fishing with his 2 boys and going to the father daughter dances with his 6 girls. Brandon is survived by his parents Casey and Julie Walton, Grandmother Francis Walton, Children Davon, Jesse, Shaylyn, MaKenna, Ashlynn, Tayanna , Bryleah and Kyndall Walton, Grandchild Weston Anderson, Siblings Andrea (Travis) Miller, Amy (Matt) Soderlin, Casey Lynn (Ryan) Sharp, and Carmen (Jason) Anderson. Multiple aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and a great nephew. He is preceded in death by his Maternal grandparents Irving and Beverly Butler, Paternal Grandfather Melvin "Sonny" Walton and Nephew Tre Sharp.
