What Kay loved
Faith

Kay Jorgensen, 62, has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved her.

Here is what we wish the world to know of Kay.

Born in 1956, Kay began a life that would touch many along the way.

Kay held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

Faith is a quiet companion through a long life. Kay's walked beside her.

Kay Jorgensen, 62 of Viborg, passed away on February 24, 2019 at the Dougherty House in Sioux Falls. Memorial Services will be held at 1:30 PM Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Viborg. A lunch will follow at the Viborg Community Building. Visitation will start at 12:00 PM on Thursday at the church. Kay Anne Jorgensen was born September 22, 1956 to Anne and Alvin Jorgensen. After graduating from Viborg High School, she married Dean Schooley. Dean passed away in 2000. Kay remained close to Dean's siblings Dave, Doug, and Diane. She also enjoyed her nieces and nephews, which she called her "Partners-in-Crime". In 2005, Kay married James "Jergy" Jorgensen. She was blessed to have Jergy's daughters Teresa and Sheri and their families in her life. Kay is preceded in death by her parents Anne and Alvin; husbands Dean and Jergy; and two brothers Paul and Steve. She is survived by her brother Mark of Adel, IA; cousins Phyliss of Austin, MN, and Beverly of Sioux Falls; nieces, nephews and many friends.
