Larry Cundy, 72 of Monroe, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Canistota. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home in Parker. Larry Dean Cundy was born on January 19, 1946 at Mitchell, SD to Edwin and Florence (Herren) Cundy. He grew up in Mitchell. On October 25, 1969 he was united in marriage Karolyn (Stubbe) Cundy. He worked many years as a welder and a mechanic. He loved spending time with his family, working on cars, racing, camping, fishing and going to the races. Grateful for having shared his life are his three children Kimberly (Rich Niemiec) Weicht of Sioux Falls, Lori Cundy of Mitchell, and Tamara (Tony Horstman) Cundy of Marion; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; and lots of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Cliff and Bruce, sister Brenda, niece Candy, great-nephew Derek, and brother-in-law Tom Dawson.
