Michael Keith Weegar Parker. Michael K. Weegar, 52, died Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Avera McKennan Hospital, Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home, Parker with burial with military honors at Rosehill Cemetery, Parker. Visitation with family present will be from 6-8:00pm Thursday. Michael Keith Weegar was born on August 18, 1960 to Keith and Jeannette (Ahrendt) Weegar. He moved with his family to Leadville, Colorado where he graduated from Lake County High School in 1979. In February of 1981 he was married to Heather Woodruff. After serving in the US Marine Corps from 1979-1983 he has worked for several construction companies. He moved back to South Dakota where he worked for several years at Gage Brothers. He was a member of the Chancellor American Legion. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, #24 Jeff Gordon, and his beloved NFL Denver Broncos. Grateful for having shared his life are his son Chris and wife Megan Weegar, grandchildren Lily and Benjamin, all of Aurora, CO; his mother Jeanette Weegar, Parker, SD; brothers and sisters, Pat and wife Patsy Weegar, Mankato, MN, Joel Kasten, Round Mountain, NV, Barbara Hansen, Chester, Bonnie and husband Bill Banks, Elko, NV and Larry and wife Terry Kasten, Sioux Falls. He was preceded in death by his Dad, Keith and a brother Richard Kasten.
