Mark D. Smith, 64 who had suffered from a long illness, died Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Tieszen Memorial Home, Marion, SD. Memorial services will be at 2:00pm Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Tieszen Home Chapel in Marion. Arrangements by Hofmeister Jones Funeral Home. Mark Douglas Smith was born on January 15, 1952 in New York state, he traveled and lived many places before settling in South Dakota in the early 1990's with his wife Maxine. He and Maxine (his beloved wife of 31 years) worked together and shared much happiness during this time. He is survived by his loving wife Maxine, and various other loving family members.
