It is with sorrow and gratitude that we mark the passing of Mardella Lounsbery, 83, — sorrow at the loss, gratitude for the life.

Below, the simplest tribute: the truth of a life as it was lived.

Mardella entered this world in 1933 — the start of a journey that would span 84 years.

Mardella held deeply to the Catholic faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

The traditions Mardella loved will continue to hold those she loved.
