Pamela Ann Cottrell, 75,, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved her dearly.

A life is more than dates on a stone; here is a small portion of her story.

Pamela's story began in 1942, and unfolded across the years that followed.

Pamela held deeply to the Lutheran faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

What is held in faith is rarely lost.

Pamela Cottrell, 75, of Parker, formally of Sioux City, passed away at her home on April 16, 2018. Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Grace Lutheran Church in Parker. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service.Pam was born July 20, 1942 to Harry and Mabel Belding in Sioux City, IA. She attended and graduated from Central High School in 1960. She enjoyed bowling, which is where she met the love of her life, Robert Cottrell. They were married on May 23, 1964 and they have two sons and two daughters together.Pam owned and operated an in home daycare for many years. This was more than a career; the kids became a part of her family.She will always be remembered for her great unconditional love for everyone. She also loved her Doxies, fishing, lighthouses long rides on back roads, country music and family water fights.Pam is survived by her husband of 53 years Bob; her children Brian (Samantha) Cottrell of Elk Point, Penny Hayden of Parker, Tonya (Danny) Clymer of Broken Arrow, OK., Jason (Paula) Cottrell of Westfield, IA., and Steve Cottrell of Ogelsby, IL.; 15 grandkids, 25 great-grandkids; her sister Mardella Wilson of Sioux City, IA; numerous daycare kids and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents: four brothers Harry, Harold, Eddie, and Denny Belding; one sister Connie Caster; and a great-grandson Bentley Cottrell.
