Richard's story began in 1933, and unfolded across the years that followed.

Richard held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.

A life of faith is rarely a life of certainty — but always one of trust.

Richard "Dick" Lambrecht, 88 of Sioux Falls, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Prairie Creek Memory Care in Sioux Falls. Memorial Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Faith Baptist Church, Sioux Falls. Arrangements provided by Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home. Richard "Dick" Lambrecht was born on April 1, 1933 to William and Maria (Burmaster) Lambrecht in Omaha, NE. The family moved to Billings, MT and he completed his schooling there. He joined the US Army and served during the Korean War, being honorably discharged in 1954. After the military he went back to school at the University of Montana, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Dick started working for Kentworth Motor Truck Co. in 1957, working as a manager and starting new locations throughout the country. He started in Seattle then moved to Houston, Sioux Falls, La Crosse, and Sioux City. He retired from the company in 1980. Dick then stared to sell insurance, primarily for Principal Financial Group. He also began teaching the insurance classes in the area. Dick was united in marriage to Dorothy Hemphill in 1957. To this union they had a son, Mark. On November 9, 1984, Dick married Vivian Stuen, and he took in her children as his own. Over the years, Dick's hobbies included golfing, bowling, and carpentry work. He also has an extensive stamp collection, ranging from half-cent stamps to stamps from around the world. He was also a member of the Sertoma Club, serving as the President for a year. Dick was preceded in death by his parents William and Maria Lambrecht; brother Donald Lambrecht; wife Dorothy in 1980; wife Vivian in 2017; 2 step-children Jon Rall and Terry Rall; and grandson Joshua J. Lambercht. He is survived by his son Mark (Kelly) Lambercht, Sioux Falls; step-children Steve (Sue) Rall, Sioux Falls, and Dan (Louise) Bass, Minnesota; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
