Rochelle Dion Donlan, 60, has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved her.

Born in 1952, Rochelle began a life that would touch many along the way.
Rochelle spent her working life as ['Kluthe and Lane Insurance Company'] — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
Family is the thread that runs through every story.
Rochelle Dion Donlan was born with her twin brother on October 23, 1952 to William and Myrtle Donlan. She grew up at Marion where she graduated from Marion High School in 1970. After attending Nation College of Business in Rapid City, SD she spent a short time in Denver, CO before returning to Rapid City where she was employed by Kluthe and Lane Insurance Company. Since moving to Las Vegas around 1980 she has been employed with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Shelly was a member of the Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Marion where she often was the organist for services and a member of Canyon Ridge Christian Church in Las Vegas. She loved getting pictures, emails, and any correspondence from her siblings, nieces and nephews. Not having a family of her own she treated her great nieces and nephews like they were he own grandchildren. Her favorite saying was "kiss those babies for me!" Her extended family was the Las Vegas Police Department where she was known as the "Mother Hen" of the homicide and violent crime division. We are told she was like the "Mother Hen" and also had no trouble putting them in their place when they needed to be. Grateful for having shared her life are a sister Dawn Donlan, Denver, CO and 2 brothers, Billy and his wife Jan, and her twin Richard and his wife Jaci, all of Marion. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister Donna. Memorial services will be at 7:00pm Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Marion.
